​ Mbaukwu is a town in Awka South Local Government. It has cardinal boundaries with Agulu, Umuawulu,Nibo,Nise and Awgbu with a population of above 18000 people. ​ The Newly Constituted Town Union Women Wing Caretaker committee which is headed by CJNebechukwu Stella Obiageli,Esq.,was accompanied by the immediate past Woman Leader Mrs. Amalachukwu Okafor to see Mr. Deputy Governor as Courtesy demands. DR IBEZIM EMERGES PRESIDENT ANAMBRA STATE SCOUT COUNCIL.

​ On Friday, 14th July, 2023, members of the State Scout Council paid a courtesy visit to Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Deputy Governor at the conference hall in Government House. The event began with a rendition of the State and National anthem and the opening prayer was said by Miss Chidimma Ibe. Ms. Nwamah, the moderator, introduced the Anambra State Council Chairman, Hon. Samuel Ofuonye to introduce the members of his team and the purpose for the visit. Hon. Ofuonye. MORE PEOPLE BENEFIT FROM FREE EYE TREATMENT INITIATIVE OF ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT.

​ Visiting an eye care specialist at least once every year is necessary is for early detection of eye defects. The Head, Anambra state Eye Centre, Nise, Dr. Ikenna Mbakigwe disclosed this while performing cataract operations on some people fully sponsored by the Anambra state government at the hospital.   Speaking during the exercise, Dr. Mbakigwe said that eye is a very essential and critical organ of the body which needs to be taking care of at all times. He described cataract as an aged related illness that happens in the eye where a lense in the eye gets cloudy as an individual gets older and said that it is recommended for an adult person to check his or her eyes at least once a year to avoid eye defects. According to Dr. Mbakigwe, checking of the eyes once a year is important to know the condition of one’s eyes, as cataract can be cured while glaucoma is an irreversible blindness. ANAMBRA STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR CONDEMNS THE INDISCRIMINATE BURNING OF REFUSE ALONG OGIDI ROAD.

​ On Wednesday, 12th July,2023. The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim made a stop along the popular ogidi market following the sight of burning of Refuse inside drainages.        In a bid to allay the Indiscriminate disposal and burning of Refuse inside drainages (Gutters). Dr. ibezim admonished Shop owners who carried out this shameless act. He not only charged them to desist from such act but to also desilt the entire drains in front of their shops. He further appealed to them to help the government create a more Liveable Anambra.
