Mbaukwu is a town in Awka South Local Government. It has cardinal boundaries with Agulu, Umuawulu,Nibo,Nise and Awgbu with a population of above 18000 people. There are 5 traditional aboriginal villages namely, Uru,Ogba, Akabor,Nnamkpu and Ovollo with many wards. Mbaukwu has a large land mass of arable lands cultivated by the predominantly agrarian community. Mbaukwu has a rich cultural heritage dating back to the 1800s centuries. The town is governed by His Majesty, Igwe P. N. Anugwu (EzeUkwu Mbaukwu) and his cabinet chiefs as the chief custodians of our culture and tradition. In addition, Mbaukwu is blessed with distinguished, noble sons and daughters in Anambra, Nigeria and internationally.
