THE UNTOLD STORY OF JAGABANISM/GODFATHERISM IN MBAUKWU-----PART 1
Mbaukwu is a town in Awka South Local Government. It has cardinal boundaries with Agulu, Umuawulu,Nibo,Nise and Awgbu with a population of above 18000 people. There are 5 traditional aboriginal villages namely, Uru,Ogba, Akabor,Nnamkpu and Ovollo with many wards. Mbaukwu has a large land mass of arable lands cultivated by the predominantly agrarian community.
Mbaukwu has a rich cultural heritage dating back to the 1800s centuries. The town is governed by His Majesty, Igwe P. N. Anugwu (EzeUkwu Mbaukwu) and his cabinet chiefs as the chief custodians of our culture and tradition.
In addition, Mbaukwu is blessed with distinguished, noble sons and daughters in Anambra, Nigeria and internationally. The illustrious list features such individuals as His Excellency, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State and Archbishop Province of Niger; His Lordship, Dr Chibuzor Ibezim Jp and many others, just to mention a few.
Recently, the fight between who will be the Chief "Jagaban" in Mbaukwu has misled some gullible minds into believing that these jagabans are fighting for their interest. First, it was acclaimed as a fight for village recognition. However, it was a picture painted to change the colouration of who will be the Chief Jagaban. These unscrupulous individuals used every tactic to gain more followers thereby fomenting troubles that threaten peaceful coexistence in Mbaukwu.
Now ,the same Jagabans conducted that purported women election against the state government's directive and guidelines. The government set up caretaker executives for the Women to curtail every manner of insurbordination. They went on planting seeds of discord in our dear town in which our Noble Son, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State is working round the clock to attract massive development into our town.
Just a day ago, the same group sponsored women to stage a protest before the palace to continue to divide our People.
Do these Jagabans have the progress of ndị Mbaukwu at heart?
Can't we advise ourselves to understand that we are a dot in a circle in politics and Representation in Awka South 2 and beyond with only one Ward?
Can't we guard what we have?
Where will this division lead Mbaukwu Youths to?
Say no to continued God- Fatherism/Jagabanism" in Mbaukwu so the Youths of Mbaukwu will take their place in government today!
God blessed Mbaukwu!
