SOLUDO TRIPLES EFFORTS TO REVIVE STATE WATER BOARD.

Earlier today Wednesday 21st February, 2024 the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, represented by his Deputy, Dr OnyekaChukwu Ibezim visited the site of the state water board commission. This visit is a fulfillment of the state government's commitment to democratise access to clean water for ndị Anambra. 

Recall that Dr. Ibezim visited the board a few months ago, to dissuade encroachment into the premises by mischievous elements in the state.

Speaking to all present, Dr. Ibezim stressed on the need to ensure that the people of Anambra have access to clean water irrespective of social status. 

He decried the unsanitary practices by sachet water producing factories such as not testing boreholes for disease-causing microbes, and careless handling of tools and equipment during production, which he further explained contributes to typhoid and malaria.

He assured them that the state government has ratified all that is necessary to make free access to clean water a dream true for Ndi Onitsha and environ. 

He also asked for support from the town council members in seeing that a sensitive project such as this, benefits all involved, urging them to key into Governor Soludo's plan of making megacities of Awka and Onitsha and spreading this renaissance to Anambra as a whole. 


Getting this right, he opined, will boost productivity in the state as the availability of basic amenities will make the state a habitat for economy-boosting investments, which in turn, will improve the lives of Anambra people, irrespective of status.
