 ASATU Cerebrate The Deputy Governor's Birthday, Installs Him As National Patron

The Stage is now set for the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo to be honoured, installed and celebrated as the National Grand Patron of Anambra State Association Of Town Union ASATU.

Barrister Titus Akpudo , who doubles as the National President of the Association (ASATU) and President General Eziowelle Town Union disclosed this on Saturday 2nd December 2023 during the end of the year party of the fourth tier of the state government where Soludo's Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim was also installed as the National Patron of the Association.


Barr. Akpudo explained that Soludo as the Grand Patron Of ASATU, will be the first time such an Award will be given to any human dead or alive, revealing that the date and venue of the installation ceremony will be made public once the Governor concludes mourning his departed father, Pa Soludo who will be buried later in the year.

Barr. Akpudo said,
"Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as "ASATU's Grand National Patron" is a credence and strongest of affirmation that Soludo profoundly believes in the grassroots, and it is long over due considering his infectious, transformative empathic leadership across the 177 communities in the state"

"In just 18months, Soludo has set leadership standard even the oppositions are jamming their palms in appreciation, a kind of achievement that is largely obtainable when most Governors have less than two months before a second tenure election. Soludo did all these when he still has more than 30 months to the expiration of his tenure"

" I'm imagining how the state will look like in 2025", Barr. Akpudo concluded.

Earlier in his speech, the Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim has thanked ASATU Head, Barr. Akpudo and his executives for their roles in the grassroots governance, partnering his Boss, Prof. Soludo in stepping down "Solution'sdividends of democracy".

Dr. Ibezim who was installed as the National Patron of the association, remarked that the investiture made him emotional, insisting that he always dedicate any  honour done to him to God and his Principal, Prof. Soludo who gave him the platform to serve, further saying that this Award will not be an exception.

"Thank you immensely Barr. Titus Akpudo and entire ASATU for conceiving such an idea to honour Prof. Soludo as the National Grand Patron Of ASATU. It is lavishly spot-on  considering Soludo's revolutions in governance across the state in shortest time ever possible"

"Soludo has achieved more in office in just 18 months what no other past Anambra State Governor has achieved in their 8 years in charge, a testament that Solduo means business"

"Soludo has turned almost every part of the state into a construction site which validates his vow at the Anambra State governorship debate in 2021 that he will declare "a state of emergency on all roads"

Dr. Ibezim also explained that as a sincere people-oriented government, Soludo has already recruited 5000 teachers and another 3000 teachers is being recruited which if it were to be in some administration, it will be strategically delayed for campaign tools and literature.

"Soludo is aware that in this internet-driven era, competitions and opportunities can come from anywhere, and for these reasons , preparing and impacting over 10,000 Anambra youths under "Code Anambra" leverage the opportunity"

"The cheapest prize you can get enrolled in those Tech skills and courses anywhere in Nigeria is #3.7m or $3000 per head, but Prof. Soludo insisted that it must be taught entirely for free, in an evidently, politically off-season, a credence that  he wants our youths to be useful and employable at home and exportable abroad ".


"Apart from fighting crimes and insecurities with other "kinetics means", Soludo is equally decongesting numerous ecosystem of Criminalities with Jobs through "One Youths ,Two Skills", and had distributed over Two Billion Naira in Cash as seed capital which will help the participants in absorbing initial take-off shocks in business"

Dr. Ibezim remarked.
