ANAMBRA STATE BOUNDARY COMMITTEE MOVES TO END PERMANENTLY, THE BOUNDARY HICCUPS BETWEEN OGBOJI AND AGULUEZECHUKWU COMMUNITIES.

   Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr OnyekaChukwu Ibezim on Thursday revealed that the state Boundary Committee is moving with an unprecedented speed, sorting out all boundary disputes across the 179 communities in the state, aimed at fast-tracking Soludo's developmental strategies in the state. 

 Dr. Ibezim declared this on Thursday 7th December, 2023 in Awka during the "Solution for Peace Boundary" meeting between Ogboji and Aguluezechukwu Communities both in Orumba South Council Area of the state.

Both Communities have, through a memorandum of understanding, sort the intervention of the state government through the State Boundary Committee, chaired by the State Deputy Governor, to end all lingering boundary disputes among themselves permanently.

Hon. Ekenechukwu Okoye, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Boundary Matters, introduced the Representatives of both Communities for their separate presentations.

Both representatives in their presentations, affirmed before the state government that they have agreed to resolve their boundary disputes as a result, are inviting the state government to gazette and place permanent monuments at the agreed boundary.

In his remarks after their presentation, the state Deputy Governor and the Chairman, State boundary committee, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim emphasized on the importance of peace and tolerance and their roles in development among Communities.

He said,
"Ogboji  and Aguluezechukwu must learn to compliment each other, make sacrifices and unconditional commitment to see that they both live peacefully together "

"All disputes anywhere in the world, are solved through mediation, dialogue and timely conversations and this is the time to initiate the dialogue but Soludo wants your full cooperation to achieve the desired outcome "

He assured both communities that the state Boundry Committee will take a cursory look at all grievances and articulate all presentations made and then, a day will be fixed for permanent delineation of contending boundaries.

In a vote of thanks, the transition committee chairman, Orumba South, Prince Neville Uchendu thanked State Governor Prof. Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim for unalloyed commitment towards solving all boundary hiccups.

He equally expressed confidence with the approaches of the state Boundry Committee at Boundary resolutions, saying he is sure of unbiased decisions.

In attendance were the Traditional Ruler of Aguluezechukwu, His Royal Highness, Igwe E. Ebelendu, Ichie Ikechukwu Okeke Mr. Anthony Ezeobijofor and host of others town Union leaders.
