SOLUTION IS HERE - THE JOURNEY SO FAR

Since March 17th, 2022 after Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo took the oath of office and commenced his task as the Number 1 servant of ndị Anambra, his actions, thoughts and decisions have been spurred & maintained by the slogan which warmed the heart of the people - Solution is Here. Thus inscription on my cap, just 3 words have been the beacon guiding his journey to making Anambra a smart, liveable city.

Solution-is-here is a Russian doll, encompassing the several layers of innovation and cutting-edge breakthroughs he has made in different sectors. Professor Soludo, has proven himself one who is without rest, if the needs of ndị Anambra are not met. He has kept true to his promise by developing several sectors simultaneously.

In transportation, he, working in tandem with the Ministry of Works has spearheaded the swift repair maintenance and reconstruction of key road networks in the state. The road linking Ebenebe and Anam to the rest of Anambra, the over 6km road trail from Unizik junction to inland towns as Okpuno, Urum, Amanuke, are to mention but a few. Worthy of mentioning also, is the flyover at Ekwulọbịa which Professor Soludo, in preparation, compensated adequately all who were affected by the demolitions that preceded the construction.

In the Health sector, true to his charge of carrying everyone along, Professor Soludo, teaming with Dr Obidike, the Commissioner for Health has ensured that several health centres in the state are provided with equipment for operations as well as trained medical personnel. A prime example is the posting of doctors to the health centre at Mbaukwu as well the construction of state-of-the-art hospital structures at the General Hospital in Enugwu-Ukwu. Also note that the ministry has been charged with partnering as at when due, with bodies such as UNICEF and WHO. The recent outreach programmes in Umuleri and recently, Anam have recorded massive positive affirmations of its impact in reducing child mortality in the state. 

In Education, Professor Soludo has left no efforts spared in his insistence on giving Anambra children the best education at no cost, by ensuring that they are not mandated by hook, or crook, to pay fees. Note also that in the first quarter of the year, the state government recruited about five thousand teachers into the state civil service. Note that the screening was done painstakingly, with prominence given to years of experience and relevant qualifications. This affirms the fact that Professor Soludo abhors nepotism & is a staunch disciple of the order of meritocracy.

It is crystal clear to all that the best resources of any nation are its people. It is this notion that has precipitated most of the groundbreaking civilisations of the world. This thought pattern is responsible for humanity's unflinching devotion and march toward astronomical improvements irrespective of the present. Thus, insisting on making true his affirmation that the youths are the state's greatest resource, Professor Soludo has overseen the introduction of digital skills trainings to increase the earning potential of ndị Anambra and make our youths viable for competition with others on the world stage. The Anambra 1Youth2Skills initiative, boasting of a vast array of employable digital skills in it's syllabus has bred thousands of youths. These youths, have been empowered by the state government via grants, equipments and influential industry-relevant internships.

It had been just one year and yet, the indefatigable Governor, backed by a team of professionals sourced from the best places has stretched far beyond the expectations of ndị Anambra. There is a lot of work to do but by his commitment to slaying all obstacles and diversifying his problem-solving process, it is clear that Anambrarians chose a father cum son worthy of the office bestowed upon him. Truly, ndị Anambra have seen, heard and affirmed that the solution to their challenges, is truly here.

Till further updates, he keeps chugging on, without pausing, declining to rest on his laurels.
