MBAUKWU NEW YAM FESTIVAL IN ABUJA, DR. IBEZIM BAGS LIFETIME AWARD OF EXCELLENCE, DEDICATES AWARD TO SOLUDO.

The Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr OnyekaChukwu Ibezim was in Abuja for the 2023 New Yam festival of Mbaukwu's United Brothers Club-Abuja, and was conferred with prestigious Lifetime Award of Excellence For Peace.

The Event held on Sunday 5th November, 2023 at Musca Pitch And Facilities, Wuse Zone 3 Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.

Dr. Ibezim was nominated for the Award, Kpakpando understand,  courtesy of his numerous effort at  brokering and mediating for Peace particularly at his recent effort, Conflict Resolution meeting he convened that brought Peace, Unity and Togetherness to Mbaukwu Progressive Union. The meeting was attended critical stakeholders of town both physically and virtually.


Recieving the award, Dr. Ibezim expressed profound gratitude and joy to Ndi Mbaukwu all over the world through Mbaukwu United Brothers Club of Abuja and their Wives for  founding him worthy of such a prestigious Award.

Describing the reception accorded him as heroic and heart-warming, Mr. Deputy Governor said he dedicates the Award to Boss, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, further describing Soludo as the man Ndi Anambra meticulously hired on November 6, 2021 to be incharge of Anambra State overall orchestra.

Mr. Deputy Governor was accompanied to the event by Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, the Anambra State Deputy Speaker represented by Hon. Odira Ezeh, Chief Christopher Ndubisi, Ikenga Umuawulu and numerous other top government functionaries.
In his speech after assisting Igwe P.N Anugwu who was represented by Chief Chuka Nwankwo in cutting the New Yam, Dr Ibezim said , 

"I dedicate this Award to my Principal and Boss, Prof Chukwuma Soludo for all he has achieved in office in less than one year and 8 month in charge of Orchestra of Anambra State affairs"

"Soludo is taking some disruptive decision to make our homeland safe , smart and Liveable, urging Ndi Anambra resident in Abuja to feel free to visit the homeland this coming Yuletide as Mr. Governor has triumphed over all the worrying concerns of insecurities in the state and is still doing much more to make sure the recorded successes are sustained"

To the women wing of Mbaukwu United club, Mr. Deputy Governor said,
"I'm humbled by the organic display of love, solidarity and outpouring of love you demonstrated , sparkling in color and tastament that Mbaukwu men take good care of their wives and I won't take them for granted"

You will  remember that Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim had on Thursday 2nd November 2023, convened a Peace meeting where  he mediated for peace to reign in  Mbaukwu Community, a move that is recieving wide commendation till this very moment.
To this end, Mr. Deputy Governor took the  gospel of peace to Abuja, urging all and sundry to sheath their sword and leverage his position and influences as the Deputy Governor of the state to advance the peace, developmental progress and well-being of Ndi Mbaukwu.

“We must, therefore, not allow circumstances that could retard all efforts at achieving this greatness for our people to prevail.”

He concluded.

The event was graced by dignitaries and other personalities that can be best described as "owners of the land" even as numerous masquerades from Mbaukwu were there in numbers resonating cane-flogging cultures of the town to the admiration of the spectators.
