GOVERNOR SOLUDO URGES CORPS MEMBERS POSTED TO THE STATE TO IMPACT 179 COMMUNITIES IN THE STATE POSITIVELY, TO REFLECT SAED SOCIAL RE-ENGINEERING TRAINING IMPACTED.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo  has reiterated that Anambra state is a "youth-oriented state" with human capital development as one of the core pillars.

Governor Soludo declared this during the Closure of 2023 Batch 'C' stream one Orientation Course at Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity  Permanent Orientation Camp Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South Council Area of Anambra State.

Governor Soludo represented by his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, reeled out some of the state government's approaches to tackle youth unemployemnt and boost youth's global employability.

Dr. Ibezim describing himself as a remarkable, strategic slot of the Youths in Soludo's administration, explained that his Principal, Prof. Soludo is aware of global opportunities and competitions, which he said can come from anywhere as a result of the internet,  and is developing policies and lining up programs to harness the economies.
He said,

"Apart from employing over 5000 teachers earlier in the year, Gov Soludo is again employing another 3000 for public-public schools"

"Soludo few months ago, donated over Three Billion Naira to Mission-public schools in the state, shared among Catholic, Anglican and Pentecostal-manged mission school".

"Today November 21st 2033, Gov  Soludo just flagged off "Code Anambra", a program worthing over #3,100,000 for each participants, entirely free for all. We were hitherto, expecting about 2000 participants but over 10,000 persons applied and Gov. Soludo instructed that all must be accomadated".

According Dr. Ibezim, Governor Soludo is equipping the  youths to optimise their capacity to be productive at home to drive national development and exportable abroad.
 
He described the National Youth Service Corps scheme as a unifying programme aimed at fostering national unity and development, adding that its objective was also “to bring together young Nigerians of varying cultural and socio-ethnic backgrounds to promote the integrity of our nation as one united, indivisible entity”.

Gov. Soludo, therefore, informed the corps members that the orientation programme was designed to instill in them the leadership qualities of perseverance, endurance, discipline and peaceful co-existence with their fellow compatriots from different socio-cultural and religious background, stressing that “the success of every service year is dependent on the foundation laid during the orientation exercise”.
Identifying the empowerment of teeming youths as one of the key elements of his administration’s agenda, the governor commended the NYSC management for inserting the skills acquisition and entrepreneurship training into the orientation programme.
