ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT MOVES TO END INTER COMMUNAL DISPUTE BETWEEN NSUGBE AND UMUERI.

Anambra State government has set in motion pathway to end the simmering inter communal land dispute between Enugwu Nsugbe and Nneyi Umueri both in Anambra East council Area of the state.

Recall there have been escalations between the two communities recently, with recorded casualties linked to a boundary crises,  erupting into wanton destruction of farmlands and properties.


The Deputy Governor of the state, Dr OnyekaChukwu Ibezim while adressing the leadership of the two communities, said that the state government is poised to resolve whatever is behind the conflict.

According to him, the state government will set up panels made up of top government officials from relevant project ministries to anchor the restoration of a lasting peace as well as resettlement program for the two communities.

Mr. Deputy Governor noted that following the confidence-building meeting by the two communities, the stage is now set for them to collaborate with Soludo's administration in activating the next phase of restoration process.
