SOLUDO'S ONE YOUTH, TWO SKILLS COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION, MBAUKWU COMMUNITY LEADS IN AUGMENTING THE STATE GOVERNMENT POLICY.

In line with Prof. Chukwuma Soludo's drive towards exposing Anambra State youths to jobs and opportunities of tomorrow through "One Youth, At least Two Skills" , OG and C.C Ibezim Foundation Mbaukwu has stepped down the project further to community participation and graduated her pioneer students several digital skills.

The foundation had announced on penultimate weeks in the month of July that, she will be organising a "Two Months Free Long Vacation Skill Training" For The Youths starting from 31st July to 8th of September,2023.
The Skills taught during the programmes included Computer Appreciation, Coral Draw, Graphics design, Digital Marketing and CCTV Installation.
Others skills that were also learnt included Welding and fabrication, GIS Analysis, Remote Sensing and Media Management.


Addressing the graduands numbering over five hundred from Mbaukwu and other neighbouring communities, the Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim described the programme as one of the ways the Foundation augments the efforts of the state government in birthing Community-based participation in "one Youth, at least two skills' at the same time, exposing and preparing the youths for the challenges, opportunities and jobs of the tomorrow.

He insisted that the foundation was strategic in their decision in fixing the training between 31st of July and September 8th so as to keep the minds of the youths busy and off the street through out the long vacation.

 Dr. Ibezim who personally interacted with each of the class Governors as they defend their projects, assured that there would be continuous mentorships and follow-ups on all so as to detect areas of possible coaching to achieve the desired results.


While assuring that those who performed above desired threshold in the exams will be empowered, Dr. Ibezim also maintained that no one will be classified as a failure in the whole excercize as the tutors have been instructed to mentor and follow-up on anyone captured on the foundation's data base.

It is worthy to note that the long vacation training cuts across age brackets, and was not restricted to Mbaukwu Indegenes alone, as students from neighboring communities of Agulu, Awgbu , Uga Umuawulu, Nibo also benefittted.

Memorable moments of the graduations ceremony were the presentations by different class Governors ranging from ICT displays, Welding and fabrication, group photographs and merriment.

SOLUDO HONOURED AS CHAMPIONS NEWSPAPER GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR ON INFRASTRUCTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT.
