MR. DEPUTY GOVERNOR FELICITATES WITH IGWE ANUGWU ON 2023 NEW YAM FESTIVAL, COMMENDS HIM FOR PRESERVING RICH CULTURAL HERITAGE OF MBAUKWU KINGDOM.

It was sea of heads this Saturday 9th September, 2023 at Akabueze Palace in Mbaukwu Awka South Council Area of Anambra State at the cerebration of 2023 Mbaukwu New Yam festival of His Majesty Igwe P.N Anugwu.

Special dignitaries were present to grace the occasion, among whom was the deputy governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim.
Other dignitaries who were also present included Traditional Rulers of Umuawulu Igwe Egwuonwu and Ifitedunu, Fmr CMD Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Prof. Mbonu, and President General of Mbaukwu, Cannon Ozue.

Felicitating with the community monarch, the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim commended Igwe Anugwu for preserving numerous rich cultural heritage of Mbaukwu Kingdom, particularly the New Yam festival explaining that value of a people is always embedded in their culture and language and assured that Soludo's administration will always encourage Igbo culture to thrive the more.


According to Mr. Deputy, the traditional ruler has made tremendous contributions and sacrifices to the development and urbanization of Mbaukwu community, assuring him that his legacies which he pointed out, impacted positively on the development of the community, would be sustained.

Describing Igwe Mbaukwu as a father and a five-star community monarch, Mr. Deputy urged all and sundry to pray and respect the highly revered monarch for his numerous contributions to the socio-cultural development of Anambra State and Igbo land in general.

In what could be best described as 'ward round' , Mr. Deputy also went round the community, paying courtesy visits to other villages, and tasked them on togetherness and progressive-minded policies.

In one of the villages he visited, Dr. Ibezim was commended for organizing the biggest skill acquisition training within the area where over 600 students were impacted with several skills ranging from ICT- based skills and literacies to technical skills.

Mr. Deputy Governor was accompanied by the National President Anambra State Association Of Town Union, Barr. Titus Akpudo and other government officials.

SOLUDO HONOURED AS CHAMPIONS NEWSPAPER GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR ON INFRASTRUCTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT.
