SOLUDO KICKSTARTS THE NEXT STAGE OF WASTE MANAGEMENT.


  In line with the administration's comittement to ensuring a Clean, Green and Sustainable Anambra. Governor Soludo on Wednesday 23rd August,2023 flagged off the Local Government by Local Government system of Waste management.

 

  The Autopilot system of waste management commenced in Njikoka local government area of Anambra state. Speaking during the flag-off the Governor ably represented by His Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim emphasized the need for the people who own the land, to own the waste, Those who own shops should own the waste, those who own the houses and streets to own the waste so generated, even the schools and churches should own their waste.


  Emphasizing that a schedule for evacuation of waste is out for each market, school, street, road and home. The era of waste evacuation as an event has gone. He charged the people to strictly adhere to this as punitive measures are in place with enforcers to take the message of the Clean, Green and Sustainable Anambra to the next level. 


  The Chairman of Njikoka, Barr. Clem Aguiyi in his own charged his people to strictly adhere to government-people oriented strategy for a cleaner Njikoka and Anambra in General.


  The MD ASWAMA, Mike Ozoemena recounted Soludo's efforts in making Anambra Liveable. He also commended the effort of the Aswama Desk officer Njikoka for her timely response in waste management in their local government. 


 Also present at the event were the traditional rulers of Abagana( Igwe Mbamalu Okeke), Nimo (Igwe Maxi ike oliobi, Eze Orayelu 1 na Nimo), Nawfia (Igwe Ezeudo, Amb. Daniel obelle), Abba and their PG's, women leaders and organized sectors, Voluntary organizations, Youths and Non-indigenous groups who promised to key into the new order.

SOLUDO HONOURED AS CHAMPIONS NEWSPAPER GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR ON INFRASTRUCTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT.
