SOLUDO ATTENDS BISHOP ANIKWENWA'S BURIAL, LAUDS HIM AS A DEFENDER OF THE FAITH.

​All roads led to the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith on Thursday, 28th June, 2023 as hordes of the Anglican faithful and dignitaries from all works of life gathered to bid Bishop Anikwenwa farewell. 



Present at the event was the Primate of all Nigeria,  His Grace, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, who charged the family to find solace in the Bishop's exemplary lifestyle. The Gospel of the day was taken from 2 Timothy 4:1-8. The Gospel message was rendered by Most Rev. Blessing Enyinda. Most Rev. David Onuora, the Archbishop of Owerri province led the intercessory prayers. Archbishop Alexander Ibezim, Archbishop of the Province of the Niger blessed the communion.



  In his speech, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, represented by his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, said that for all who had the privilege of living with & experiencing Bishop Anikwenwa, it is on them to stand against indiscipline. Anikwenwa lived for ecumenism, a principle that Professor Charles Soludo stands for. Dr Ibezim charged all Christians, irrespective of denomination to live with the knowledge that the fight isn't between themselves but against idolatry. Thus, he called for peace and unity of purpose.

Somtochukwu Udeze (Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly),  His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi (Former Governor of Anambra state), Dr. Victor Umeh(Senator representing Anambra Central) , Prof. Lilian Orugbo(Federal House Member), Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Wife of the Late Vice president of Nigeria(Dr. Alex Ekueme), Hon. Ernest Ezeajughi (Chief of Staff to the Governor of Anambra State).

SOLUDO HONOURED AS CHAMPIONS NEWSPAPER GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR ON INFRASTRUCTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT.
