Mbaukwu Benefits, as Anambra State Sets Ambitious Targets in Palm, Coconut Production.

​The Anambra State government is revitalizing

industrial-scale palm and coconut production ( which

were the commodities that put the old eastern region

on the roadmap).

Mr. Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on Wednesday

in Awka, flagged off the 2023 farming season, which

he tagged 'regenerative agriculture' as the pathway to

food sufficiency and repositioning of the state's

economy.

According Mr. Governor, his administration is

championing the reenactment of the palm revolution

which built the old eastern region, as a way of going

back to where the later M..Okpara stopped.

Beyond Agricultural revolution, Soludo seek to grow

the state IGR, and create more jobs through coconut

and palmproduction.

Anambra State Deputy Governor, HE. Dr.

OnyekaChukwu Ibezim has over time stressed on

Soludo’s mandate to invest in Agro business & Human

capital development, to boost entrepreneur

development of the teaming unemployed youths, Men

& Women of Ndi Anambra at large .

Today, Mbaukwu people are happy they receive their

improved/imported species of palm and coconut

seedlings as part the dividends of democracy. These

seedlings were distributed among the 5 Villages in Mbaukwu, namely; Uru, Akabor, Ovollo, Na mkpu &

Ogba.

Agro-Business is key to food security. Agro-business

often involves using sustainable practices like crop

rotation to produce food. Lowers food prices for

consumers: Agribusiness can increase crop yields

through effective growing and distribution methods,

often reducing food costs for consumers, which Ndi

Mbaukwu now awaits bountiful harvest in few years to

come.

The beneficiaries Of this "SOLUTION " Initiative can

conveniently venture into Coconut Oil production,

Coconut Flakes and Coconut Milk prodiction, which are

of high demanding in the global market. Palm kernel oil

can be used in production of margarine, ice cream,

chocolate, cookies, and bread, as well as

pharmaceutical products.

We the entire Mbaukwu people wish to appreciate the

Anambra State Government led by Prof Charles

Chukwuma Soludo & His Deputy, His Youthfulness Dr.

Onyekachukwu Ibezim (Eze my Okorobja) for putting

Anambrians first in their policies, most especially the

youth Empowerment through skill training, Agro
